Improv Everywhere.

You must watch this video of a carefully planned musical staged in a local food court. Even piped through the mall PA system!

For our latest mission, 16 agents staged a spontaneous musical in the food court of a Los Angeles shopping mall. Apart from our performers, no one in the food court was aware of what was happening.

The janitor steals the show, absolutely.

That was hilarious but why is it called Improv Everywhere? It was as you said, “carefully planned” and rehearsed. Improv is not.

I’m not going to be able to ask for a napkin at a restaurant again without thinking of this.

    cringingly funny

I’m one of those “musical haters” — but it was hard not to watch, too funny.

It is true that it’s not appropriately named, that ain’t improv, cool as it is.
