Scrabble wins.

Whilst I have at times availed myself of intellectual property from the gray market those acquisitions have often led to increased purchasing on my part. I do believe that people should get paid for the things they create. (I also support the new experiments with the internet with free MP3s from musicians and free books from writers. This kind of thing just makes me buy more CDs and books.)

Ripoffs are bad. Scrabulous was a ripoff.

Hasbro made available a new version of real Scrabble to Facebook users before lowering the boom on the Scrabulous guys. This is the right thing to do while you’re powering up the lawyers. Hopefully, this will work out best for all those concerned. Except for the guys that were doing the ripping off, of course.
