I loved this film. It was laced with lovely character moments, clever wizardly touches, and steeped in drama. The pace was beautifully languorous, lingering on scenes and faces and moments in very touching ways.
Very much the middle chapter of a long story, Half-Blood Prince begins with nearly no exposition and fills its almost three hours with wondrous images. There is a good side to sequels, as it allows a film like this which is nothing but the good stuff. I can’t wait to see the next two.
I’m not sure, but I think this goes in my Top 100 movies. Five stars from me certainly.
